The King Valley Vignerons Shed Wine Show is a one day event – and unique because it is only here that the public is invited to be the judge. No other wine show awards prizes based on the scores of the general public. The King Valley is Australia’s most diverse premium wine region, with an exciting range of Italian and other alternative varieties as well as all the traditional wines.
Makers of wine, both professional and amateur, using grapes from the King Valley are invited to show their wine. To assist the public with scoring the wines, there will be wine makers available to provide guided tastings. Entry fee is $15 per person ($12 pensioner concession) which includes a commemorative glass. Groups of 10 or more people who book in advance will receive a personalized guided tasting, 2 free entrances and a free wine pack.
The Shed Wine Show will be held at the Wangaratta Performing Arts Centre on Saturday October 2nd. Wine tastings will be available from 11am with the public being able to judge the wine and have their scores count until 4.00pm.
Wholesome hot food and freshly brewed coffee will be available throughout the day.
