KING VALLEY 2006 SHED SHOW - RESULTS

SHED CATEGORY WINNERS

CLASS 1:   White Wine:            Geoff Lacey; 2006 Sauvignon Blanc
CLASS 2:   Red Wine:               Geoff Lacey 2005 Merlot

Winner of the Shed Trophy, for top scoring wine of the Shed Category, and prize of a $500 donated by EE Muir was the 2005 Geoff Lacey Merlot made from grapes grown by Neville Bussell.
As the runner up of the best shed wine the 2005 Geoff Lacey Merlot wins a dinner for two at the King River Cafe. This wine was made from grapes grown on Flanigans Vineyard

Winner of the Mediterranean Trophy and the prize of a wine barrel from Southern Cross Cooperage is Sam Miranda Wines 2005 Symphonia Saperavi from grapes grown at Symphonia and made by Sam Miranda. Runner up was the 2005 Ciavarella Estate Wines 2005 Graciano made by Cyril and Tony Ciavarella. They were awarded with a gift voucher for accommodation at the Mt Buffalo Resort

Winner of the Small Winemaker Trophy and prize of 1200 litre stainless steel winemaking tank donated by OP Industries of Wangaratta was the best wine from classes 3 - 22 made by a winemaker who crushes less than 100 tonnes. This was the Boggy Creek Wines 2005 Barbera made by Graeme Ray. Runner up, the Rose Hill Estate 2004 Sparkling Merlot made by Jo Hale was awarded with a gift voucher for printing from Hansens Printers.

Winner of the Large Winemaker Trophy and prize of $500 donated by Tafco was the best wine from classes 3 - 22 made by a winemaker who crushes more than 100 tonnes. This was the Sam Miranda Wines 2005 Symphonia Saperavi from grapes grown at Symphonia and made by Sam Miranda. Runner up was the 2002 Cabernet Franc from Gapsted Wines, made by Michael Cope Williams from fruit grown on Richard Carsons Vineyard. They were also awarded with a gift voucher for printing from Hansens Printers
